Going Home: I Love Remembering Dad

Dad's high school Senior picture.
While camping during the 4th, we celebrated Dad (since the 4th of July was his favorite holiday).
Mom and Sasha made memory books of Dad for each family member.

Mom shared some of her favorite memories of Dad,

and so did the rest of the children who were there.

Each child also wrote down their memories of Dad to be added to the memory books.

Everyone had such a good time looking at the books together.

Brittney and Merinda looking at the books at home.

It was also fun to see Dad's old yearbooks, pictures, notes/letters, and personal items that Mom had on display.

Dad would have turned 75 years old this year so Mom had the cake decorated in memory of that.

And it was a delicious cake!

I'm grateful for all the hard work Mom and Sasha put into making Dad's Memory books, and for the opportunity we had to talk about and remember Dad in the perfect mountain setting that Dad would have loved!
