Florida Everglades & Keys

Brad and I had a wonderful trip to the Florida Everglades and Keys! We went with good friends from way back when, Roger and Leanne Pugh. Leanne and I were born on the same day and will be turning 50 this year, so our husbands completely surprised with a trip to Florida together. It was an amazing fun-filled week of exploring beaches & going on boat rides, taking pictures of gorgeous sunrises & sunsets, seeing all kinds of birds & wildlife, shopping & eating delicious sea food, and best of all, just laughing and catching up on each other's lives!

One thing I really appreciated about this trip was seeing so many of God's creations through the lens of a photographer. Roger has not been taking pictures for all that long, but he definitely has an eye for both taking and editing pictures. His photographs are so vibrant and majestic, and overall just breathtaking...my sad little collages do not do them justice, but here are a few of the pictures he took on this trip...

In comparison, here are pictures I took with my I-phone (so don't judge me) but I still wanted to post pictures of the incredible things we did and saw...

Staying at an Airbnb with our BFF's, on the beach in Tavernier, Florida

Eating Cuban food, watching birds & alligators on Loop Road, and getting stranded on an airboat in the Florida Everglades

Going on a sunset cruise to bird island, fighting Pelicans while feeding Tarpon, and eating fish tacos at Robbie's Marina, Islamorada, Florida

Visiting the southern most spot in the U.S., shopping for souvenirs, eating sushi & gelato, and watching the most amazing sunset in Key West, Florida

Sitting on the dock, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the night-life in Key Largo & Fort Lauderdale, Florida
