Girls Camp and Youth Conference

Girls Camp at Camp Blanton, Southeast KY

The thing I liked about Girls Camp the most this year was...I got to go!!! It was so fun going as the camp nurse again, and life-guarding!

This was our cabin which was nicely decorated with balloons and tinsel from some anonymous campers.
A smart little mouse chewed a hole in Bridgette's purse in order to eat the chocolates inside!
One of my favorite parts of camp was going on the seven (plus) mile hike!
 Our fearless hiking leader Vicki.

The hike was beautiful with many different types of foliage and rock formations.

Everyone was thrilled when we finally made it to the top,

 especially Merinda!

The view from "Knob Rock" was beautiful!

I just want it noted that I wouldn't of fallen if I hadn't been trying to push Merinda, and several other girls, UP a mudslide!

The important thing is that Merinda still had a smile on her face, and we all got to go swimming after the hike!!!
The pool was super nice and it was my job to make sure no one got sun burned, injured, or drowned on my watch!

To help the girls pass off first aid, all the YCL's became victims of some sort or another.

In addition to being great actresses, we also had YCL's who were amazing make-up artists.

Camp is always a blast with such great leaders like Kathy Alexander!

The girls put on some great skits, of course I thought the fourth years were the best (Merinda was the narrator).
 Merinda with her camp award.
Staying up late and playing games in their cabins (which probably contributed to Merinda's camp award).

Our (Bridgette, Vicki, Molly, and myself) awesome great and spacious building!

To go along with an awesome devotional!

Bishop's Night...
I always thought Bishop's had to put up with enough stuff without being subject to girls camp tortures!
But all of them, including Brad were good sports, and still brought yummy treats for all the girls in their Wards. (Brad and the Georgetown girls and leaders)

Youth Conference at Barren River Lake, Southern KY

These are the only pictures I could find online of Merinda at Youth Conference. This was an outdoor dance where it was over 100 degrees!
But the youth also had fun playing games, making cardboard boats and floating them on the lake, and strengthening their testimonies of the Book of Mormon.
