Spring Break in Tampa, Florida III

Treasure Island Beach

View of impressive Don CeSar Hotel at St. Pete Beach.
For our next beach day we decided to explore Treasure Island Beach since we heard it was more rustic, less crowded, and a great beach for collecting shells. It too was very family friendly.
Unfortunately, the day we were there the wind was crazy!

We decided it would be more pleasant if we rented a cabana for the day to get out of the sun and blowing sand.

 Brad turning into a sandman.
Despite the wind advisory and choppy water, we still enjoyed the warm temperatures, and collecting shells on the beach.

Some brave souls body surfing the big waves.

Nap time for the sea birds (they didn't seem to mind the wind).

After our day on the beach we discovered that Brittney was actually allergic to the sun (or at least the sunburn she got on her feet).
I forgot to put sunscreen on Brad's feet and legs the second day at the beach,
but then again, he is a big boy, and completely capable of putting sunscreen on himself!
