Honeymoon & Caladesi Island State Parks
We would have liked to spend more time at Honeymoon Island State Park but since it was the coolest day of the week, and our last day in Florida, we decided to take a boat from Honeymoon Island to Caladesi Island since we heard it was the most secluded beach, and was actually a nature reserve that included a nature hike around the island.

On the Ferry boat to Caladesi Island.
On the way to the island we passed a Sheriff
and Rescue boat that were transporting a tourist who hurt her back.
Some of the wildlife found on the island.
Even though it was a little cooler, we still had fun hanging out on the beach and taking pictures.
This time Merinda decided to do some modeling.
Brittney was even brave enough to shed her jacket (how else could she model her new bathing suit!).
The girls enjoying the beach, and each other!
Brad getting smart this time and covering up!
Boardwalk to the nature trail.
The nature trail was a 3 mile path through the jungle, and around the entire island.
Merinda taking more pictures of Brittney, the quintessential model,
and of the unique trees that included Evergreens and Moss trees,
and interesting plant-life.
Everything was going great until Merinda realized we only had 45 minuets to catch our boat off the island.
She did not want to miss the boat!!
She finally decided to wait for us to catch up.
Luckily, we made it on the ferry boat back to Honeymoon Island.

Sadly, the week ended all too soon. It was sure wonderful to spend time with Brittney again while visiting the Tampa area, and we cant wait to explore more of Florida's beaches!
