Spring Break

 For Spring Break this year we rented a cabin at Cumberland State Park, Kentucky.

We had a wonderful four day, three night stay with the Holts.

Austin turned 14 the first day we were there so he picked Ruby Tuesday's for dinner.

He was a good sport as we sang happy birthday,

 

 

  and "helped" him eat his birthday cookies and cream pie.

 We did give him a birthday card, but Veronica had to help him decipher the handwriting (more particularly, my handwriting).

 We all could of gone to bed earlier than we did,

 but it was vacation, so it was important that we torture ourselves.

The highlight of our trip was the visit to Cumberland Falls.

 

 

 

 

We once again lucked out with perfect weather.

Beautiful rainbow but the falls are more well known for the moon bows that occur during a full moon, a phenomenon not found anywhere else in the Western Hemisphere.

In addition to beautiful sights, the falls had numerous trails and scenic lookouts.

 but Rex will always be the consummate competitor.

 

 Brittney too has a little competitiveness in her.

 No vacation would be complete without a proper manicure...compliments of Brittney.

The last night was the perfect ending to a perfect Spring Break! The guys bonded while watching the Priesthood Session of General Conference, and us girls bonded over personality tests and painted nails!
