Fourth of July

It was a great Fourth of July this year having Aubrey and Brittney home again.
Aubrey was a good sport and came to watch the Georgetown parade with Brad and I in the pouring rain.
Brad and I being all festive in our twiner Air Force half marathon Captain America shirts.

Some of my favorite things in the parade...old cars,
 cool cars,
loud motorcycles,
 local farmers and their tractors,

 patriotic entries,
and our friends kid's floats (Brinley Clayburn and her dance group).
Instead of throwing Dumb Dumbs, Brinley threw Brad a big old Snickers bar!
(I think this conspiracy was started by a certain Amy Clayburn).
Georgetown Theaters always entertaining with Captain America, Spider Man...
and of course Wonder Woman (Aubrey's friend Lizzy none-the-less).
And then there is our personal favorite, Georgetown Ward's float!
With the youth walking beside and the primary kids and Primary president (waving) riding in the truck.
Our County Fair float took first place with its adorable Ferris Wheel that really turned around,
fair games and prizes,
 and even farm show animals!
Thoney Charles (with a sucker in his mouth), creator and builder, did it again!

And of course we can't forget my friends from Georgetown Scott Co. EMS
 and Fire Fighters!
I just had to take this picture of the cutest little boy who found a gold mind of candy just sitting on the side of the road. Not until all his pockets were full was his mother able to get him up and walking again!
Because of the rain, we had our barbecue at the park, at our house.

We had so much fun visiting with the Holts and Allens, we almost missed the fireworks!
But luckily we just made it in time, and luckily it finally stopped raining!

And like every year, our little Georgetown fireworks did not disappoint!
