Goodbye Aubrey

Well, it was fun while it lasted, but Aubrey has flown to Utah where she will stay and visit family and friends for a few weeks before heading back to school at BYU-I. Some of the highlights of her short six week stay were (I guess we won't count her temporary job as an inspector at Toyota as a highlight, but the money earned was nice!):

 Going to the drive-in with her friend Rashmi and Merinda,

 Riding a horse for the first time in her life,

 Spending time with her mom,

 little sis,

and of course big sis!

And being introduced to Brittney's pet Beta fish, Lil,

 

(who, incidentally, has a much nicer home now!)

 Catching up with old friends,

Going to old friend's weddings,

 Holding old friend's babies,

  

 Spending time with her dad,

 and family at Cave Run Lake,

 

 Eating a root bear freeze from A&W after a day at the lake, 

 

 Going out to eat at mom and dad's favorite restaurant,

 Sharing her mission experiences, and speaking a little espanol, with a high school Spanish class, 

 

 and finally, saying goodbye to her old Kentucky home (maybe a highlight for Aubrey, but definitely not for me!).

Unfortunately for Aubrey, but lucky for us, her plane had mechanical problems so she was able to stay one more night with us!

Which meant, one more time out to eat (with Brad and his co-worker from Japan). 

 I so look forward to a day when I no longer have to say "goodbye" to my kids!!!
