Home Again IV

Pleasant View, Utah
It was then time to head to Island Park, Idaho for the Manwaring reunion, but before doing so, we stopped at the home of the youngest Manwaring brother, Uncle Glendon.
It was so nice catching up with Brad's cousins Antoinette and Michelle.
Uncle Glendon and Aunt LeNay got us all caught up on their adventures in Nelson, British Columbia, where they recently served a mission.

After a delicious lunch, compliments of Aunt LeNay and the girls, we headed north!

Rexburg, Idaho
Our last stop before Island Park, was Rexburg, Idaho. We walked around campus for old time sake (even though everything is completely different from when Brad and I went to school there), ate at The Old Hickory, and took pictures of the beautiful Rexburg Temple!

Island Park, Idaho
The first thing I saw when we arrived was a moose wading in the river, and two guys fly-fishing ... I love Island Park!
Victor, the last of the Manwaring brothers, and Virginia put on a lovely family reunion!

Blake (Brad's brother) and his wife Josie, also helped out a lot since Josie's family owns cabins in Island Park.

Blake & Josie, Brian & Shanalee, Brittney & Sean, and Brad & I stayed in Josie's grandmother's cabin, which is pictured above.

Everyone else stayed in the huge rental cabin, which was a nice place to gather.

Grandpa talking with all of the kids

The large cabin's backyard and deck were just the right size for visiting, cooking/barbecuing, and eating

Becky's son Garrett, getting ready to show everyone his back flip ...

there he goes!

The cabin's main living area was also just the right size for everyone to sit around and visit

Brittney and Sean arrived late so when they walked in the front door Friday evening, they felt like celebrities! Everyone wanted to know what the newlyweds had been up too!

Speaking of newlyweds, Becky's daughter Blakely and her husband Skyler (left), were also in attendance

Watching family videos until the internet died!

One or two families were assigned a meal to buy food for, prepare, and clean-up, which really worked out well

(I loved the Mason-jar dining room lights)

My favorite part of the reunion was just visiting and catching up with everyone!

Grandpa giving the teenagers more words of wisdom ...

Saturday, young and old had fun playing Bingo to win Grandpa and Grandma Virginia's prized heirlooms, and/or some of Nate & Lisa's delicious Canadian candy bars!

Also on Saturday we walked Big Springs trail, and visited Johnny Sack's Cabin, with Sean and Brittney

West Yellowstone, Montana

That night Grandpa and Virginia paid for everyone to see The Foreigner, at the Playmill Theatre in West Yellowstone, Montana, which was about a 30 minuet drive from Island Park. While waiting for the show to start, Brad & I and Brittney & Sean had fun window shopping at all of the cute little boutiques.

Sadly, Brad and I had a plane to catch the next morning, but before leaving, we took Blake & Josie's dog Winston on a walk as we soaked in the amazing surroundings of the beautiful Pines, Aspens, and Wild Flowers ...

We had such a wonderful time and want to thank everyone who planned and made the Victor Manwaring Reunion such a great success!
