Winter Happenings

I've been in isolation so long I almost forgot that we actually did have a nice Winter ...
For Christmas Breck gave Iris a little paint set with mini canvases, so one cold weekend they painted these little pictures. Iris' is an original painting of Christ ...
and Breck's (interesting choice) is a painting of a popular meme that was going around.
Also during their Winter Semester at BYU-I, Breck and Iris spent a number of weekends in Buhl, Idaho, visiting Grandpa Manwaring and Virginia. While attending church with them one Sunday they bumped into the wonderful Bodmer family, who used to live in Kentucky (and whom we miss dearly!).
Brittney and Sean had an interesting winter in Sandy, UT, playing in the snow,
and having a mini reunion with Breck & Iris, Wesley & Molly Holt, Christina Holt, and Lauren Allen (Aubrey tried to attend but had to return home due to tossing her cookies).
Everyone met up the canyon for a few hours of tubing, and then dinner in the valley.
Lauren stayed the weekend with Brittney and Sean.
While Lauren was in Utah, her parents were dancing the night away at La Antigua Mexican restaurant with us in Kentucky ...
La Antigua is known for its karaoke, but Mark and Bridgette didn't want to sing,
so I told them to dance instead (since they're really good), which they did with a little hesitation.
And of course everyone loved it ...
especially since most of them had already had a good amount of alcohol!
But it was definitely a wild night at La Antigua (it was this poor gentleman's birthday)!
Also in February, we once again celebrated the guys birthdays at Chuy's restaurant.
The Tres Leche cake was pretty much to die for!
I am so glad we were able to spend such quality time with good friends eating out, especially since we've all been quarantined for months now! These are the memories we hold onto in hopes that someday we'll be able to do it again!
I know Mom holds onto the wonderful memories of her Caribbean cruise with her good friend Darlene.
They really lucked-out because had they gone any later,
they might still be quarantined in some boat, off the shore of who knows where!
